It’s about time a major country took a stand for Palestinian self-determination—real peace can’t happen without recognizing both peoples’ rights.

Honestly, it’s about time a major Western country like France recognized Palestine—how else will we ever get real leverage for peace? The US and Israel have been blocking any progress for so long, while Palestinians continue to suffer under occupation and siege. Macron is showing some actual backbone here, and hopefully this inspires other European nations to finally act instead of just issuing empty statements. Recognizing Palestinian statehood isn’t about “emboldening Hamas,” it’s about acknowledging millions of people’s right to self-determination and dignity. This is a necessary step toward justice and a two-state solution—let’s hope it’s the start of real change.

This is just another example of global elites like Macron choosing symbolism over real security and stability. Recognizing Palestine while Hamas is still launching rockets is basically rewarding terrorism and undermining Israel, our key ally. France is playing with fire just to score political points with the left and appease their own restive populations. Moves like this don’t bring peace—they just encourage extremists and make the world less safe.

Recognizing a Palestinian state without real negotiations just rewards terrorism and undermines Israel’s right to exist—France is making a huge mistake here.
