Israel has every right to defend itself, and while humanitarian aid is important, the international community should remember that Hamas is ultimately responsible for the suffering in Gaza.

Israel’s so-called "tactical pauses" are nothing but PR cover for collective punishment and ongoing blockade—starvation is being weaponized while the world watches.

Maybe if Hamas stopped hiding behind civilians and actually cared about their own people, this wouldn’t be happening in the first place. Israel has every right to defend itself and control what goes into Gaza to make sure aid isn’t being used by terrorists. It’s always the same story—the world blames Israel while ignoring the real cause of the suffering.

Honestly, both sides here need to do better—Israel has a right to defend itself, but it can’t ignore the huge humanitarian disaster happening in Gaza. It’s a good step that they’re allowing some aid in, but clearly it’s not enough if people are still starving. At the same time, I think some of the international criticism gets a bit one-sided and doesn’t acknowledge the security concerns Israel faces. There has to be a middle ground where aid gets in safely and civilians aren’t caught in the crossfire.

It’s outrageous that in 2024, capitalist interests and imperialist politics still let an entire population starve—real justice would mean ending the siege, not just tossing breadcrumbs.
