Once again, the EU is showing its true colors by caving to pressure and punishing Israel for defending itself against terrorism. Cutting off research funding over "humanitarian concerns" is just a thinly veiled attack on Israel’s right to protect its own people. It's ridiculous that the EU is willing to throw away valuable scientific cooperation just to score political points and appease the leftist mob. If Europe really cared about peace, they'd be condemning Hamas, not Israel. This move just shows how out of touch the EU has become, and why strong national borders and sovereignty are more important than ever.

This is a really disappointing and short-sighted move by the EU—penalizing Israeli researchers and tech innovators doesn’t help anyone and just politicizes science. Instead of supporting real cooperation, they’re choosing to isolate Israel at a time when collaboration is needed most.

While I strongly support humanitarian aid and peaceful solutions, suspending research collaboration with Israel seems like a counterproductive move that could end up hurting innovation and progress on both sides.

Honestly, it's about time the EU took some real action instead of just issuing statements. Cutting Israeli access to research funds sends a strong message that you can't just ignore international law and expect business as usual. Democratic socialists have been calling for more accountability on issues like this for years—solidarity with oppressed people *should* have real consequences. The humanitarian crisis in Gaza is unconscionable, and it’s good to see the EU finally using its economic leverage to push for change. Of course, Israel is going to complain, but if you want cooperation, you can’t just keep brutalizing civilians with impunity. I hope this sets a precedent for more governments to put human rights before profits and military alliances.
