This is exactly why governments shouldn't have so much control over resources—when politicians play power games, innocent people suffer. Cutting off humanitarian aid just punishes civilians who have no say in what Hamas or Israel decide to do. If private aid groups and individuals were free to operate without government interference, people in Gaza wouldn't be at the mercy of political decisions like this. Both Israel and Hamas are using human lives as bargaining chips, which is exactly what happens when states have too much power. The best way to avoid these crises is less government control and more voluntary cooperation.
